Ab Fab in decline.

This is a feature documentary called Grey Gardens, shot in 1975, by Albert Maysles, David Maysles, Ellen Hovde, Muffie Meyer.

Its an intimate portrait of "little" and "big" Edie Beale, a mother and daughter who lived in the derelict building in this photo above.

The two woman lived a very intriguing, isolated life, yet they do not seem to be introverts and were clearly once part of a very "high society" scene; still maintaining an impressive collection of beautiful outfits.

The film records lots of insightful moments and shows the Beale's to be lovely ladies.

See it.

Anthopology

Over To You Trygve.

Director HÃ¥vard Fossum studies anthopology at goldsmiths university.

I found this on their film archive and there are loads more too but this one took my fancy.

A nice portrait. Watch it if you like looking at things.
