David Lynch Interview Project

This young lady is called Jenny Brown.

Her interview with Austin Lynch is part of a series of short documentaries called the Interview Project started by David Lynch

The project consisted of a small team taking a road trip round America with the intention to interview the people they met along the way.

Each person sits and tells us a bit about their life and although it all sounds rather dull I recommend you at least watch this one with Jenny, because it's surprisingly interesting. Mainly because she's so sweet!

He is basically Flanders from the simpsons but much less annoying and cooler.

Steve has walked a massive distance and has a lot of love.

This little portrait of his life has been put together in a very effecting way, with some lovely wide images.

you will probably want to hug him at the end.

I was only saying the other day how much it pleases me to see old painted advertisements on the side of buildings...worn and wonderful.

So you can imagine my delight when I found this Documentary called Up There Directed, Edited and Photographed by Malcolm Murray.

It tells the tales of those who scale the towering buildings of new york, to paint them in adverts.

What an amazing job to have!

Some lovely camera work, and a nice little time lapse at the end which shows just how talented these people are.

Lets go to new york soon?

I'm very glad he decided to ask, as she passes some good wisdom.

He has helped tell her little tale in a really nice way, with his use of the camera and choice of content.

One to watch if you fancy putting your feet up with a larvly cup-a-tea.

No interest in craftsmanship required, just enjoy the excellent photography.

Although in a wonderfully subtle way it does make you slightly intrigued as to what they are doing.

Lots of good blues music too.

...and if you do enjoy craftsmanship, then even better.

A "Must See"

This is Lift by Marc Isaacs.

Has a beautiful aesthetic and tone which sets the situation up in a really alien way.

A bit of a cultural experience with a difference.

I can almost guarantee you will find at least one person, within this film, that you enjoy.

A surprisingly touching documentary.

Absolutley love how modest this man is, as well as his genuine, massive dedication to music.

I didn't think it was possible to envy someone and sympathize with them at the same time!

Also...lots of really nice cinematography to get your eyes in to too.

When I earn lots of money I will buy his archive. Don't worry.

It gives a very intriging insight into someone's everyday life. Simplistic and rich. Its cool.

The films asthetic is a perfect match for the subject, and looks awesome.

Enjoying Documentaries In May

I'd like to share with you some interesting people....
I think most people enjoy listening and watching someone, a little bit different from themselves, relaying a personal fact or story. Whether it be the girl on BBC 3's " Hotter Than My Daughter" or Michael Jackson.

This Documentary is nice. Worth a watch if you have a spare 10mins.

Now in the second year of my degree, I think its about time I became a blogger.

This picture was taken on the shoot of a film we made last year - the days when we were so amatuer, music rights were not necessary and we could use the "Pink Elephants on Parade" song from Dumbo as our complete soundtrack. Probably the best part of the film. It was bad.
